Our March – July 2008 Programme All the Thursday Club Evenings start at 8 p.m. in the Henry Fetherstone Suite, The Wyllyotts Centre, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar Thursday March 13th:                                                                                                                                                                               Editing Principles - Come along to learn more about the most requested tuition subject in the amatuer movie world. Thursday March 27th:                                                                                                                                                                           Internal Competition Evening : The Holiday Competition (maximum 20 minutes) - Almost everyone has a holiday – so a large  number of entries is expected. Thursday April 10th: The IAC North Thames Triangle Competition Semi-Final - We compete with St. Albans Moviemakers and The Mid-Suffolk CameraVideo Club in our bid to reach the Final. (This is a change from our printed programme). Thursday April 24th :                                                                                                                                                                                An Evening with Reg Lancaster - The former national IAC Chairman comes up from Orpington with a programme of his excellent movies. Thursday May 8th:                                                                                                                                                                                 Lights, Camera, Action! - In this Tuition Evening we focus on the camcorder, and the host of controls perhaps we never knew were there! Thursday May 22nd:                                                                                                                                                    The Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, this year again in the Old Manor & the Wyllyotts Centre. Enjoy the meal, and hopefully win one of the many trophies awarded annually to Club moviemakers. Thursday June 5th: The Pickett Plate Competition - This year we host our annual competition with St. Albans Moviemakers.                                                                                                                                                                                 Thursday June 19th:                                                                                                                                                                                     Sound Matters - We try to learn more about the most under-rated aspect of movie-making.   We also launch our popular Soundtrack Challenge! Thursday July 3rd:                                                                                                                                                                                   Internal Competition Evening: Unclassified - Another of our internal competitions – and anything goes!                                                                                                                                                                                  Thursday July 17th:                                                                                                                                                                                   An Evening with Simon Wood - BA pilot Simon Wood brings to our attention"The Forgotten Slums" of Nairobi, and the aid work he is involved in with BA. Thursday July 31st:   Our Secretary's Evening - Our Secretary Penny Love hosts (hostesses?) a Social Evening before the August break.                                                                                                                                                                                    The first Meeting of the Autumn will be on Thursday September 18th.
